by Colorado Mosaic Artists at First Congressional Church

October 4th, 2019 - November 30th, 2019

Colorado Mosaic Artists (CMA), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, that unites mosaic professionals and enthusiasts from all over Colorado, is presenting its autumn exhibition “ORIGINS” that will be held from October 4, 2019 through November 30, 2019 at First Congregational Church in Boulder, Colorado.

The show will include over 70 mosaic artworks from more than 20 CMA artists.

“The theme for this show originated at a 2 day, intensive workshop given by guest artist, Dianne Sonnenberg, called “Concept to Completion,” said Vice President of CMA, Carrie Doman. “The focus of the weekend was learning how to process a vague concept and create a meaningful work of mosaic art. As the workshop came to a close Dianne challenged the artists to take the theme “Origins,” apply the concepts learned and create a personal work of art with each artist’s unique point of view. Many of the pieces in the show are the result of that challenge. We are so excited to include a piece by Dianne that was created for this exhibition. The show will include more than 70 mosaics, including wall art, 3-dimensional pieces, art created from found objects, and tiles, glass, beads, fabric, shells and rare stone.”

Please come to meet the CMA artists who will share their personal stories behind each of the mosaics at the
