Carrie Doman

IMG_3102.jpg

Carrie began her artistic journey almost 30 years ago when she first took a pottery class. She spent 20 years creating clay vessels that were inspired by the landscapes, flora and fauna in Colorado.

Many of her artworks were also envisioned on her travels in Colorado and abroad. The bark of an exotic tree in Nicaragua, the rugged cliffs along the Italian coastline and the eroding canyon walls of Colorado's Glenwood Canyon were brought to life in her pottery studio.

As Carrie's life changed she transitioned from pottery to mosaic. She is still inspired by the natural world around her and enjoys foraging for and incorporating found objects from the landscapes into her mosaic work.
